Photographer, twin mother and artist born in northern Norway, now living in Stockholm, Sweden. I work with motifs rooted in Scandinavia, drawn to Nordic folklore, myths, and the vast untamed landscapes. I am shaped by the darkness of the polar night and the endless midnight sun, longing for a small shelter hidden beneath a mountain by the Atlantic Ocean. Where my mother’s and father’s families once lived as seafarers.
Primarily I work with analogue techniques because I love the tactile feeling when pigments show, when mistakes are allowed to remain, and when the seams are not hidden.
